Day one:

The first day the journey will start in the morning from Kigali to Akagera National Park, this park lies in Eastern Rwanda along the border with Tanzania was established in 1930 and its measure 1200 km2. Is characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah and is home of the big Five, more than 20 species of antelopes and hundreds of bird species. Before reaching to the park you can have short stopovers on the way to Akagera Park for photo moments of the beautiful landscape and people. After arriving to the park you will check in to Akagera game lodge or Ruzizi tented lodge will depend with your choice.

In the afternoon you will have a boat ride at Ihema Lake. On this Lake you will have a chance to see the hippo’s pods and some of the huge Nile crocodiles that are otherwise difficult to observe. This is also the best way to view the park’s abundant water birds including, African fishing eagles, African darters and breeding colonies of noisy and smelly cormorans and open-bill storks, after the boat tour you will go back to your lodge or hotel.

Day two:

You will leave your hotel early in the morning and head to the reception of the park to meet the guide for the briefing and completion of the park formalities before you embark for the game drive Park which will take 6 hours seeing the animals and beautiful landscape around the park. At 12:00 pm there you will be having picnic lunch. The game drive will continue after lunch until 5.00pm. After the game drive, we will drive back to Kigali.
